Canon Development Americas – Software Engineer
March 2006 – Present
  • Conducted research and development to create new network technologies for future Canon Products
  • Multiple roles including project lead and technical lead
  • Traveled internationally to Canon Headquarters in Japan to represent division and showcase latest research
  • Collaborated with engineers overseas
  • • Lead team to create new Remote Desktop technology, significantly outperforming current technologies such as VNC and Windows Remote Desktop
  • Designed architecture and initial prototype for new network communications within Canon home printers to be shipped globally
  • Developed new technology to stream video from home to home via the internet
  • Lead team to design prototype user interface for future Canon TV
